I've lobbied for Audio Ads before. I think it would be a great way to gain revenue for L2MR's FREE service. Not only would it gain revenue but it too could allow for open access for Shoutcast and Icecast listeners. If audio ads aren't implemented than at least a directory bot for online streaming L2MR stations both FREE and paid. It could help bring more traffic of folks know the stations were online at the time of the search. I know 3 Live FREE services that allow this type of functionality. There is a forth one in Beta as well. There is 1 FREE shoutcast service allowing a directory bot yet keeping the listeners locked to the website which is fine if you had a directory bot.

L2MR is however the oldest FREE streaming host and has made improvements its true, but still too restrictive to achieve any listeners to enjoy its full potential. I'm hoping that in the future there will be a solution for this as even the new droids can listen to your FREE shoutcast station via the web player so really its time for L2MR to rake in the benefits of that.

I also think that audio ads would be a good source of funds for the free services the software is offering. I do not get the directory bot that much though, are you saying that there would be an online repository that would handle streaming files?

Yes, it could drive more traffic as it will probably employ marketing techniques that would make the site search able for visitors to see.
