before trying to connect for broadcast....open your station's L2MR page....then try to connect again.

If that doesn't work.....change your password

hello,
I have the same problem. I tryed to reload pages several times also changed password a couple of times and still no luck. client is still saying I have got wrong password set. Can anybody look into it please?
I have also tryed to register a new account to workaround this problem and simply to forgot that old one but on the new account I cant even turn the radio on. It gives me some error telling that connection to mysql is not possible. I would recommend to put some checks into the scripts to output user friendly messages if something fails.
Please note before a while I was perfectly able to broadcast.

Edit: I have found out that actual change password works. the main problem for me is that my server won't start when trying to start it up via admin pannel. I managed to login successfully to the shoutcast admin interface and it is still saying that the server is down. After some 5 such tryals I see error messages on the radio page as well so I believe that shoutcast has crashed. I will wait a while and keep trying....

I think it is fair to reply to a topic which includes the same problem I am having. If everybody will start topic on the same issue that would lead to a even bigger mess than it is now with increasing number of spammers.
BTW: back to topic I have tryed to change server several times but unluckily no go :(

Edit: on the new account I am still unable to switch the server on.

Hello,
I am trying to post as many details as possible now.
1) going to listen2myradio.com and logging with my username pvdeejay.
2. opening preferences page.
Here I can see

radio status: off
and

address to broadcast: 208.109.236.118:30902
3) clicking turn on/off (http://listen2myradio.com/exec.php?do=cmd)
4) after click to "turn on" I am receiving several errors and front page is shown.
here are the errors:

Warning: session_start() [
function.session-start
]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/listen2myr/domains/listen2myradio.com/public_html/config.php:11) in /home/listen2myr/domains/listen2myradio.com/public_html/login.php

well then I have to start from the logging into the site again.
5) finally after second press of the turn on link I can see
Radio is turning on
6) loading again the preferences page to confirm:
radio status: on
7) entering everything (host, port and my password) into oddcast 3.1.16 set to aac plus encoding.
8) upon trying to connect receiving the following in oddcast's log:
05/14/07 22:01:10 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Connecting
05/14/07 22:01:10 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Socket connected
05/14/07 22:01:21 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Password Failed
05/14/07 22:01:21 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Connecting in 10 seconds
9) opening my radio page http://pvdeejay.listen2myradio.com
10) surprisingly, seeying this:
Warning: fsockopen() [
function.fsockopen
]: unable to connect to 84.94.225.43:30902 in
/home/list2mych/domains/listen2.com/public_html/oo.php on line 6
Connection Refused! Song:

]: unable to connect to 84.94.225.43:30902 in
/home/list2mych/domains/listen2.com/public_html/oo1.php on line 4
Connection Refused!
Actually you see that ips differs! so something very veird is going on there.
11) I don't trust the site and I am trying to go to the http://208.109.236.118:30902/
and.. what a surprise. I can see the shoutcast status webpage saying:

Current Stream Information
Server Status:
Server is currently down.
so conclusion: server is started but is not accepting source connections.
I have checked shoutcast log after successfully logging to the admin interface. It says
<05/14/07@07:53:11> [dest: 91.127.123.213] server unavailable, disconnecting yes that is my ip being refused when trying to connect as a source client!
Can you help please?
The same is happening if I change to the other server.

Well if you cannot get the Broadcast IP given in the Admin Panel to match the IP showing on the page then you need to recreate the account from scratch unfortunately. Make sure you give it the full 2 hours to build before accessing it :)

Actually the thing with ips not matching is not a problem if I know where to broadcast and my listeners do know where to tune in. Had you chance to look to the other issues please?
Before a few days I have created another account with login name pvradio. Here exact steps again:
1) logging to the site (successfull)
2) opening preferences page to see:
radio status: off and
address to broadcast: 80.179.150.93:42610

3) clicking "turn on/off" followed by "turn on" link.
4) the same problems with sessions appears:
Warning: session_start() [
function.session-start
]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/listen2myr/domains/listen2myradio.com/public_html/config.php:11) in /home/listen2myr/domains/listen2myradio.com/public_html/login.php
on line 3
5) relogging and clicking "turn on" again
6) in the place where text "radio is turning on" should appear I see:
Warning: mysql_connect() [
function.mysql-connect
]: Lost connection to MySQL server during query in /home/listen2myr/domains/listen2myradio.com/public_html/exec.php on line 1390

Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/listen2myr/domains/listen2myradio.com/public_html/exec.php on
line 1391

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/listen2myr/domains/listen2myradio.com/public_html/exec.php on line
1394
7) clicking "Have problems with radio ? Change server to a better one" and changing server to that israel one.
8) checking preferences page:
radio status : off and
address to broadcast: 84.94.225.43:42610
9) trying to turn the radio on
10) full of happiness receiving
Radio is turning on
11) entering server details into oddcast and seeing this in its log:
05/15/07 16:19:31 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Disconnected
05/15/07 16:19:34 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Connecting
05/15/07 16:19:34 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Socket connected
05/15/07 16:19:44 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Password Failed
05/15/07 16:19:44 Info(MainWindow.cpp:703): Connecting in 10 seconds
12) with no surprises coming to the radio page, seeing the right ip (at leas this is now fixed)! but after opening shoucast web interface I see
Current Stream Information
Server Status:
Server is currently down..
so all passwords are okay. I dont know what else can I improve my bug report with. can you please look into it thoroughly please?

not true as the listeners must use the listen2myradio page to connect. Our service is ad supported and a firewall prevents direct access from listen links.

Your case will not be investigated as the launch of the new site is coming soon, bug fixes on this version are not a good use of our time.

Make a new account under a different email address. Its your best bet.

The last report I provided was on a fresh account with different email as the old account. do I still have to try creating new accounts over and over again? might this really help?

yes otherwise LOTS of people would be complaining of the same issue.

you are in the minority using oddcast perhaps this is your issue. try the Shoutcast DSP. I believe oddcast was designed primarily for use with Icecast (although it should also be shoutcast server compatible if you select it in the settings)

hello,
please accept my apologies, oddcast really won't connect but shoutcast source works perfectly. I don't know what has changed but I was using oddcast successfully before a month or two. It's a pity because I am using foobar 2000 to play dynamic playlists. But at the other hand I discovered that shoutcast source can feed stream from 1 encoder up to 5 different servers. This is a big plus. Thanks for your support and keep going.

Edit: oddcast in 3.1.17 fixed!
